KING HORSE with Shasta at Of The Sun Sanctuary

My horsemanship approach:

  • Compassionate and intuitive mindset.

  • Emphasis on partnership and mutually beneficial collaboration.

  • Treating horses as sentient beings and my equals.

  • Paying attention and tuning into a horse’s perspective.

  • Working with body, mind, emotion, and spirit.

  • Being open to different kinds of communication.

  • Utilizing experience and knowledge gained from working with herds in natural environments as well as working in traditional stables.

Services not offered:

  • Riding your horse or performance training your horse. That is out of my scope of practice as I am not a professional horse rider or trainer, and have no certification in those fields.

  • Medical services beyond First Aid 1  and Basic Equine Emergency First Aid as I am not a licensed medical professional.

  • Residential cleaning.

  • Dog walking.

  • House sitting. I am a permanent caretaker at a horse farm in Cedar, and prefer to stay there at night. (Rare exceptions can be made as a "last resort" type thing if your arrangements fall through.)
